Italy EU/EEA Family/Spouse Visa Application – Know the Requirements
Do you have a family member or a blood relative residing in Italy? Are you a third-country national wishing to travel to see them? You can be eligible for an EEA family permit or an Italy family visa. And, if that’s a spouse, you can enter Italy with a valid passport and an EU spouse Schengen visa. This visa allows you to stay in the Schengen region for up to 90 days over six months. You can visit your family, travel, get medical treatment, study, and undergo training programs lasting less than three months.
The Italian consulate does not charge fees for the issuing of this visa. However, an organization might charge you for assistance with application processing on your behalf. An overview of how to apply for an EU spouse visa in Italy from the UK is given below:
- Complete the Application Form: Download and complete the visa application form. Ensure all information is accurate and complete.
- Arrange Documents as per the Checklist:
- Visa application form
- Recent passport-sized photos
- Valid Passport
- Residence permit
- Two copies of the first page of the applicant's passport. Also include copies of Schengen visas, if any issued in the last 3 years from other Schengen countries.
- Original marriage certificate and copy
- Declaration from the EU relative.
